Job summary

Waymo is hiring for a role on the Sensor Simulator Platform Team in the United States. You will help build and maintain high-performance simulators that run millions of simulated miles to assess the safety of Waymo's onboard models, interfacing with AI/ML teams to integrate data processing, cameras, lidar, and radar components.

Ideal candidates will have experience with 3D game engines, physics-based or data-driven simulation techniques, and asset management for large data pipelines.

Qualifications

• Experience with ML pipelines and understanding of training processes.
• Ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams including AI/ML, simulation, and data processing.
• Experience with scalable data processing pipelines and asset management.

Responsibilities

• Help build and maintain efficient simulators capable of running millions of simulated miles to evaluate the safety of Waymo's onboard models
• Work with multi-modal data processing and simulation, including cameras, lidar, and radar
• Interface with AI and machine learning teams that develop parts of the simulation pipeline
