TGS is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Seismic Acquisition Technology team. You’ll build and maintain mission‑critical software supporting live marine seismic campaigns, vessel operations, and data delivery workflows.

You’ll collaborate with geophysicists, field engineers, and infrastructure specialists to ensure reliability, performance, and correctness in a demanding environment. This hands‑on role requires independent problem solving and mentoring junior engineers.

Competenze

• Candidate holds a B.S. or higher in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or related field.
• 10–15 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Extensive experience in C/C++ and object-oriented design methods; proficient in Python and Linux.
• Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL and other relational databases.
• Experience with networked and distributed systems, real‑time or near‑real‑time data pipelines.

Mansioni

• Design, develop, and maintain software systems supporting seismic data acquisition, QC pipelines, and data delivery workflows.
• Assist with development of strategic plans and technical roadmaps.
• Manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring on‑time delivery and budget alignment.
• Interface with clients and stakeholders to translate requirements into robust software solutions.
• Review and debug code; perform validation and verification testing.
• Collaborate with geophysicists, field engineers, and infrastructure specialists.
