Job summary

Leonard Workforce Solutions is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead a multi-language program spanning C++, Python, and Next.js/React for an employee-owned R&D organization focused on geolocation systems and defense-related missions.

You will own architecture, design, development, and deployment of high-quality, secure software across software and hardware platforms, guiding integration and releases with engineers, analysts, and researchers.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Strong software design principles and modern patterns.
• Ability to communicate design, complexity analysis, and performance metrics clearly.
• Experience ramping on large, complex code bases.

Responsibilities

• Lead expansion of C++, Python, and Next.js React program with new features and defect resolution.
• Oversee programs across multiple security domains and manage master repository changes.
• Drive integration of the program onto multiple software and hardware platforms; manage cross-platform releases.
• Own full SDLC from requirements through testing and deployment.
• Collaborate with engineers, mathematicians, computer scientists and analysts on hardware/software interfaces.
• Author software test procedures and technical documentation.
• Influence engineering practices and processes across the organization.
