Job summary

DCS is seeking a senior software engineering candidate to design, develop, and sustain complex DoD software systems in a secure environment. You will advance modern software practices, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and provide technical guidance across engineers, managers, and customers.

The role requires independent work, strong communication, and a track record with PlatformOne and cloud/container platforms. DoD experience and security clearance are essential for success.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required due to sensitive customer requirements.
• Active Top Secret clearance eligibility.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/IT/SE with 12+ years related experience or higher degrees with fewer years.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, and sustaining complex DoD software systems.
• Experience with PlatformOne and DoD cloud/container platforms.
• OO software development and modern software engineering practices.
• Web-based apps, services, APIs, or enterprise software capabilities.
• Ability to work independently under broadly defined direction.
• Strong written and verbal communication; team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, integrate, and sustain DoD software capabilities.
• Modernize existing applications and interfaces using current practices.
• Develop software components using OO and web technologies.
• Support secure software development: code quality, testing, & config management.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and delivery processes.
• Work in containerized or cloud-enabled environments; support deployments.
• Troubleshoot complex software, integration, and deployment issues.
• Define requirements with engineers, cybersecurity, and customers; deliver solutions.
• Provide technical guidance to engineers and managers; maintain documentation.
• Operate in classified or controlled environments.
• Develop solutions with initiative and independent judgment.
