Job summary

EasyPost is building the shipping infrastructure of the future with a developer‑friendly REST API. We seek a Software Engineer III to design, implement, and maintain high‑quality software for massive scale and real‑world impact.

You will work with cross‑functional teams to translate requirements into robust solutions, review code, and help drive architectural decisions while staying current with industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3–5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong Python programming skills, with familiarity in other modern languages.
• Experience with front‑end and/or back‑end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Node.js, Spring, Django).
• Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and data modeling concepts.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and debug software following established standards.
• Develop front‑end and back‑end components for scalable solutions.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and architectures.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain quality and share knowledge.
• Identify and fix defects with analytical problem solving.
• Create technical documentation and system designs for cross‑functional teams.
• Ensure smooth integration of components and successful releases.
• Stay current with industry trends and continuous process improvements.
• Develop unit, integration, and performance tests; implement automated testing.
