Job summary

The Walt Disney Company is seeking an experienced software engineer to design, build, and maintain resilient, scalable accounting services supporting payments to content creators and rights holders across Disney Movies and TV.

You will lead feature development, collaborate with engineering, product, and finance, uphold engineering quality, mentor colleagues, and help resolve production incidents, using strong Java/Spring, REST, and distributed systems skills.

Qualifications

• Requires at least five years of experience designing, building, and operating large-scale fault-tolerant systems.
• Strong Java and Spring skills, REST API experience, distributed systems knowledge, Kafka, AWS, and CI/CD practices.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience; effective collaboration and communication; financial systems, SAP integrations, observability, performance tuning, and enterprise security knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate large-scale fault-tolerant accounting services for payments to content creators and rights holders.
