Job summary

Phreesia is seeking a Software Engineer 4 for a remote role (EST or CST) with occasional travel within the United States. You will design, build, and scale distributed platforms powering patient experiences, mentoring engineers while driving architectural excellence.

As a senior IC, you’ll champion AI-assisted development, tighten security and reliability, lead architectural discussions, and collaborate with product, operations, and leadership to deliver high-impact healthcare software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience building distributed software applications.
• Experience with .NET/C#, cloud-native architectures and modern web stacks.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and delivery of scalable software throughout the lifecycle.
• Leverage AI-assisted tooling to improve productivity and code quality.
• Review and validate AI outputs for security, compliance, and architecture.
• Participate in design reviews, architecture discussions, and code reviews.
• Drive technical decisions for complex initiatives from design to production.
• Mentor engineers and QA on best practices and modern workflows.
• Own production systems and drive observability and automation.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and customer escalations.
• Contribute to CI/CD and platform reliability, improving developer experience.
• Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Operations, and leadership.
• Advance engineering standards around quality, scalability, and security.
• Support sprint planning, estimation, delivery coordination, and Agile execution.
