Job summary

Trusted Space is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain high‑performance software applications in a hybrid role based at Aurora, CO (also Chantilly, VA). Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree or higher and have 8+ years of software engineering experience with modern C++ or Rust in an agile environment.

The role involves leading a small team across the full software development lifecycle, debugging and optimizing complex systems, and contributing to Rust or C++

Qualifications

Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related.
8+ years in software engineering or related experience.
3+ years of experience with Rust or C++ (preferably C++11 or newer).
Ability to work in both Windows and Linux environments (Mostly Linux).

Responsibilities

Supports milestone objectives to include software development in a collaborative unclassified environment.
Assists in the review and evaluation of systems and software for adherence to government or commercial directives, standards, guidelines, and criteria concerning software safety and systems safety.
Leading a small team of high performing developers across the full software development lifecycle.
Comfortable contributing to Rust applications.
