Job summary

Visionist, Inc. seeks a Senior Software Engineer (Reverse Engineering) to develop Python applications for automated analysis and to reverse engineer network traffic and web applications. The role collaborates with customers to gather requirements and integrate new technologies into client systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; substitution: 12 years of reverse engineering experience may apply
• 12 years of reverse engineering experience (10 years with an MS degree)
• Production-grade Python development experience
• Familiarity with HTTP, HTML, JavaScript, and common web protocols
• Experience with Burp Suite, browser dev tools, or Wireshark
• Service containerization and deployment with Docker/Kubernetes
• Familiarity with Git/GitLab version control
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor
• Experience using Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence

Responsibilities

• Develop Python applications to automate analysis and operational workflows
• Reverse engineer network traffic and web applications
• Collaborate with customers to collect requirements and ensure proper functionality
• Coordinate with the software team to incorporate new technologies and shared libraries
• Manage data flow and formatting to integrate into client systems
