Qualifications

• 5+ years building and operating production systems with genuine consequences.

• AWS in production across ECS, RDS, S3, and CloudWatch with cost awareness.
• Node.js 16+ with high-concurrency and memory-management.
• React 18+ with user-experience focus and critical design feedback.
• Docker in real deployment pipelines, not only on a laptop.
• Jest coverage that supports deployments and catches real failure modes.
• Ability to enter a large, legacy codebase and make targeted changes safely.
• Clear, precise communication about trade-offs to non-engineers.

Responsibilities

• Build API connections with partners and vendors in the revenue pipeline; own design, delivery, edge cases, and reliability.
• Lead a web portal redesign, making foundational architectural decisions with long-term scalability in mind.
• Own production reliability and diagnose/fix issues; implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
• Integrate IoT hardware with software systems, requiring cross-boundary debugging and deep curiosity.
