Job summary

Boulevard is hiring a Senior Software Engineer I to build experiences and systems for appointment-based self-care businesses. You will collaborate with Product, Design and Engineering to solve meaningful problems, taking ownership from design to production on an event-driven platform.

Our stack includes Elixir and PostgreSQL on AWS, GraphQL with TypeScript, and React/React Native frontends. Remote-first with competitive compensation and equity opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software Engineering experience.
• Strong fundamentals and ability to design clean, maintainable solutions.
• Ownership of features from definition through production.
• Product mindset with product/design collaboration.
• Systems thinking for scalable, reusable patterns.
• Good technical judgment and communication of tradeoffs.
• Collaborative across cross-functional partners.
• Curiosity to learn new technologies, Elixir not required.

Responsibilities

• Own meaningful product and technical initiatives from design through implementation, launch and iteration.
• Build reliable, maintainable systems powering real-time scheduling and client booking.
• Partner with Product and Design to translate customer needs into technical solutions.
• Contribute to technical design and architecture with a focus on scalability and performance.
• Develop across frontend, backend, or end-to-end features as appropriate.
• Ensure quality through testing, code reviews, observability, and production support.
• Mentor other engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve efficiency while maintaining quality.
