Job summary

Care Access is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build modern, scalable software used to streamline operations in clinical research and health services. You will work in a cross-functional team using full-stack TypeScript to deliver delightful experiences for users.

Responsibilities include implementing UIs from Figma, building robust APIs with Node.js and PostgreSQL, and mentoring teammates while maintaining high code quality in a remote-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of experience in both front-end and back-end web development.
• Experience with Node.js, React, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL.
• Ability to work independently in a remote-first team environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop full-stack web applications using modern TypeScript in a functional-first style.
• Implement clean, modern UIs that translate Figma mockups into reality with product designers.
• Build scalable backend APIs in Node.js and PostgreSQL.
• Contribute to code reviews, mentorship, and pairing to maintain high standards.
• Reduce technical debt and align data models with real-world domains.
• Support production deployments and incident responses with DevOps collaboration.
• Write and review design documents and lead architecture discussions.
• Collaborate with QA to ensure features are well-documented and testable.
• Participate in Agile processes: sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives.
