Tanium is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build and maintain product offerings in a fast-moving team. The role emphasizes customer feedback and rapid iteration from design through deployment.

Candidates should have 5+ years in software development with experience in cloud data services, API design, and modern CI/CD workflows. A hybrid schedule requires in-office presence across multiple U.S. locations.

• Experience with modern software engineering development and automation tools like git and CI/CD pipelines.

The Basics

As a Tanium Senior Software Engineer, you will be tasked with building and maintaining best-of-breed products as part of a small and nimble development team. Tanium focuses on a strong customer engagement model and feedback process to ensure our products are designed the right way from the beginning. When new products ideas are identified, our software engineers are responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying the products from the ground up, while continuously iterating with product management and customers for feedback and input.

This position follows the Company’s hybrid schedule which currently requires employees to work in the office at one of the following locations a minimum of three days per week: Addison, TX; Bellevue, WA; Durham, NC; Emeryville, CA.

  • Experienced debugger who can put out fires under pressure when things go wrong in production environments and address the root causes of those fires for the future
  • Has knowledge of a variety of modern backend software frameworks and the versatility to learn new tools and languages

What you’ll get

The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $191,000 to $293,000. This range is an estimate for what Tanium will pay a new hire. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, training, and experience.
