Job summary

Performance Drone Works, LLC in Huntsville, AL seeks an experienced software engineer to join our defense-focused team. You will design and implement robust Qt/C++ applications, build cross-platform tools, and contribute to the next generation of sUAS systems used in real-world missions.

You will work with product teams, participate in code reviews, and help deploy in field environments, ensuring quality, security, and scalability while maintaining high standards and fast iteration.

Qualifications

• Design robust software systems using Qt and C++.
• Experience with Qt framework and cross-platform deployments.
• UI design with QML for responsive interfaces.
• Experience deploying Qt apps across platforms.
• REST/JSON data integration and API usage.
• Proficiency with Git and Jira for version control and issue tracking.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
• Embedded Linux/Android experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end software development lifecycle from concept to deployment.
• Collaborate with product teams to implement solutions based on needs.
• Collaborate with team and stakeholders to ensure alignment.
• Own tasks and deliverables with strong communication.
• Tackle complex technical issues and implement robust solutions.
