Job summary

Service Wire Company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop and maintain our QAD ERP system using Progress 4GL/OpenEdge. You will lead ERP feature design, optimize database performance, and integrate with internal/external systems.

The role requires mentoring junior developers, collaborating with stakeholders, and staying current with Progress and ERP best practices. Office-based position with some travel to manufacturing sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Progress 4GL/OpenEdge programming experience.
• Strong understanding of QAD ERP systems and modules.
• Experience in manufacturing environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain Progress 4GL/OpenEdge applications for QAD ERP.
• Lead design and implementation of ERP features, modules, and customizations.
• Design, tune, and secure Progress databases; implement backup/recovery.
• Develop, test, and maintain APIs for data exchange and integration.
• Mentor junior developers and provide user training on ERP usage.
