Job summary

Akina, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer 2 to develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems in a TS/SCI environment. You will analyze user requirements, design and code features in Python, Kotlin, and Java, and work individually or as part of a team in Annapolis Junction, Maryland.

The role offers a competitive salary range of $208k to $254k annually, with a detailed compensation package. Akina provides 24 days of PTO, 11 federal holidays, a 100% vested 401(k) with a 10% company

Qualifications

• 14+ years of SWE experience in programs/contracts of similar scope.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Four years of additional SWE experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems.
• Analyze requirements and derive design and performance specs.
• Design, code, test, and debug software components.
• Lead teams as appropriate to the project.
• Coordinate system installation and ensure operational specs are met.
• Review documentation and contribute to process improvements.
