Job summary

City of San Antonio seeks an experienced software engineer to design, develop, code, test, implement, and support software products across multiple enterprise systems. to 4:30 p.m. schedule; after-hours work may be required and applicants must reside within 100 miles of the city.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Seven (7) years of work experience in software development and/or software analysis.
• CJIS background check required; CJIS eligibility standards apply and certain offenses disqualify applicants.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, builds, and supports complex systems and applications in the software life cycle with enterprise-wide impact.
• Troubleshoots escalated issues, performs root cause analysis, and applies fixes until permanent solutions are implemented.
• Leads evaluation and selection for system and performance improvements across multiple enterprise systems.
• Coaches and mentors engineers; contributes to design and standards for software products.
• Leads planning efforts and coordinates cross-functional initiatives across teams.
