About the Role

Rippling is on an exciting growth trajectory, and our Product Infrastructure and Tools team is at the forefront of this journey. With a robust team of 800+ engineers supporting over 1,300 sales and support personnel, we are committed to building innovative tools and infrastructure that empower our company to excel. As a key member of this dynamic team, you'll play an instrumental role in managing and enhancing essential systems like Feature Flags, Sales Account Tooling, and various support features. This high-impact, high-visibility position offers broad exposure across our entire organization and the opportunity to shape our engineering landscape.

What You Will Do

• Innovate and Develop: Design and implement high-quality, reliable software using technologies like Python, Django, Ruby, React, and more, driving efficiency and innovation across the company.
• Architect and Deliver: Build and deploy software and tools that empower our teams, streamline workflows, and enhance productivity.
• Collaborate and Connect: Foster strong relationships with engineering, sales, and support teams to deeply understand their infrastructure needs and enhance their operations.
• Lead and Mentor: Serve as a technical leader within the team, spearheading critical projects and initiatives while mentoring junior engineers and fostering their growth.
• Drive Automation and Scalability: Play a pivotal role in evolving Rippling’s product infrastructure and automation strategies as we continue to scale.

What You Will Need

• Extensive Experience: 5+ years of proven experience as a backend engineer.
• Cloud Expertise: Strong preference for experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
• Infrastructure Knowledge: Solid understanding of infrastructure engineering and best practices.
• Technical Proficiency: Preferred experience with Python, Django, Ruby on Rails, and React.
• Tool-Building Acumen: Previous experience in building and deploying tools and infrastructure is a plus.

Rippling highly values in-office collaboration. Employees living within 30 miles of an office are expected to work onsite three days a week with those living 30-49.9 miles away expected to be in the office one day a week. Employees living over 50 miles away are required to relocate within 30 miles of an office. To enhance team cohesiveness, new employees are asked to work onsite three days a week for their first six months.

The pay range for this role is:

135,000 - 236,250 USD per year (US Tier 1)
