Crypto.com is hiring a senior backend engineer to design and ship Go-based services that publish and settle event contracts on a CFTC-regulated exchange. You will lead migrating critical workflows from Python/Airflow to Go and durable job processing, while ensuring live markets stay uninterrupted.

You’ll design data pipelines across multiple providers, build robust settlement logic, and collaborate with trading, operations, compliance, and product teams across time zones.

Formación

• 5+ years building and running production backend systems, with ownership from design through on-call.
• Strong skills in Go, or deep experience in another backend language plus a clear willingness to work primarily in Go
• Deep PostgreSQL knowledge, including schema design, migrations, query performance, transactions, isolation levels
• Experience designing distributed systems, including concurrency, idempotency, retries, at-least-once processing, failure handling
• A record of leading projects that span teams and making sound architecture trade-offs
• Clear writing, good judgment, and comfort when requirements are unclear

• Write and review design docs, set engineering standards, and lead technical decisions across teams
• Mentor engineers through code review, pairing, and design feedback
• Take part in on-call, lead incident response, and remove the causes of recurring incidents
• Work with trading, operations, compliance, and product teams across time zones

Our systems take in data from several sports and market providers, turn each event into tradeable contracts, and settle them correctly once the event ends. Settlement moves real money, so correctness and auditability matter as much as speed.

We are moving the platform from Python and Airflow to Go services built around Postgres. You’ll help decide what the new platform looks like.

What we’re looking for

Required

• Experience with prediction markets, sportsbooks, exchanges, or sports data feeds, such as OpticOdds, LSports, StatsPerform, or Sportradar
• Experience with ledgers, payments, settlement, or other systems where money is on the line
• Redis, Kafka, or Postgres-backed job queues such as River
• Python and Airflow experience, which would help with the migration
• React/TypeScript
• AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD
• Experience in regulated environments, such as CFTC/DCM, FINRA, or similar
• Startup or zero-to-one experience
