Job summary

Bright Machines in San Francisco, CA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and implement scalable software that powers our Software Defined Manufacturing platform from robot control to cloud services. You will join the Bright Machines San Francisco team to architect, implement, and deploy the software stack while applying rigorous engineering practices.

You will collaborate with engineers across backend and frontend, contribute to SDLC best practices, and mentor teammates in an Agile

Qualifications

• 4+ years of production software development experience in a manufacturing or tech environment.
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages and modern software practices.
• Experience with frontend and backend development and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong communication with technical and management stakeholders.
• Spanish language skills (technical) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Help design, develop and deploy software components for Software Defined Manufacturing.
• Contribute best-in-class programming skills to build reliable, scalable frameworks.
• Write clean, maintainable code and perform peer reviews.
• Create unit, integration and end-to-end tests for production readiness.
• Collaborate with teammates to prototype new technology and assess feasibility.
• Operate in an Agile/Scrum environment with aggressive delivery schedules.
• Provide Tier 3 remote support and improve systems based on field feedback.
