Job summary

Bright Machines in the United States is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to define and implement the systems behind Software Defined Manufacturing and to power flexible robotic lines. You will design reliable, scalable infrastructure, write clean code, and collaborate across teams to improve developer velocity while applying modern CI/CD, Kubernetes, and observability practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or SRE.
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, C#, or Go and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain reliable, scalable infrastructure, applications, and tooling that contribute to Bright Machines' vision of Software Defined Manufacturing
• Write clean, maintainable code, and perform peer code-reviews
• Write clear and concise documentation and engage in cross-team communication and knowledge sharing
• Work with other team members to investigate design approaches, prototype new technology and evaluate technical feasibility
• Pair with adjacent teams to understand how your frameworks and infrastructure are actually used in the field, continuously improving them and leveraging recent advances to improve developer velocity
