We are currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Performance in Colorado. This position is ideal for a backend engineer passionate about high-scale distributed systems and performance optimization. You will work on a mobile measurement platform, designing and operating real-time infrastructure that processes billions of events daily. Responsibilities include system-level thinking, crafting low-latency services, optimizing attribution logic, and building resilient data pipelines. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, own major technical projects, and impact how marketers evaluate campaign effectiveness.

Accountabilities:

1. Design and maintain large-scale, event-driven backend systems supporting billions of data points daily
2. Implement and optimize core attribution logic focusing on low latency, reliability, and performance
3. Modernize systems built in Java and Kotlin to enhance scalability and throughput
4. Collaborate with product, SDK, data science, and infrastructure teams for seamless integration and shared technical goals
5. Own the development lifecycle from planning and architecture to monitoring and incident resolution
6. Contribute to engineering best practices, system observability, deployment strategies, and incident response

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in backend engineering with Java and/or Kotlin
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, data streaming, and event-based architecture
• Proficiency with tools such as Kafka, Aerospike, DynamoDB, or Redis
• Experience with performance tuning, low-latency service development, and error resilience
• Familiarity with mobile measurement and privacy frameworks (SKAdNetwork, Privacy Sandbox) is a plus
• Ability to write clean, testable code and mentor others in system design
• Located in the Denver metro area or open to remote within Colorado
