Coinbase, Inc. is a remote-first company with quarterly in-person surges. We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Payments team to design scalable backend services, build APIs, and own features end-to-end for payment processing using Go.

You will partner with engineers, product managers, and leadership to improve reliability and performance of payment systems at scale, delivering high-quality software in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in backend software engineering with production services.
• Proficiency in Go or similar, with scalable, low-latency APIs.
• Experience with financial payments infrastructure or high-volume transactional systems.
• Own features end-to-end from design through deployment.

Responsabilités

• Design scalable, fault-tolerant backend services for payment processing using Go.
• Own end-to-end delivery of payment features from design to production deployment.
• Build platform primitives and self-serve APIs for other Coinbase teams to add payment methods.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and senior leadership to translate requirements into technical plans.
• Improve reliability, observability, and performance across payment services.
• Contribute to engineering quality through code reviews and best practices.
