Job summary

Qu is building the leading enterprise restaurant technology platform with a mostly virtual, globally distributed team. We seek a Senior Software Engineer to own both payments integrations and the data platform that makes transactions visible and reconciled for merchants.

You’ll join a scaled agile team developing cloud-based and cloud-hybrid architectures that process high-volume restaurant payments daily, while mentoring engineers and driving code quality across payment services.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software development with payments or financial data exposure.
• 5+ years in C# / .NET building APIs and microservices.
• Hands-on PSP integration experience: gateway APIs, terminal APIs, management APIs, webhook notifications.
• EMV terminal integration: device pairing, transaction flows, certification, in-store troubleshooting.
• Fluency in payment domain concepts: acquirers, issuers, settlement, PCI DSS, tokenization.
• Experience building data reporting UIs (Vue.js, Angular, or React).
• Experience with data reconciliation logic and cross-system matching.
• Proficient with AWS services and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with MongoDB and SQL databases; Elasticsearch for querying.
• Git, Azure DevOps Pipelines, Docker, Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain payment integrations with PSPs across card-present and card-not-present channels.
• Own terminal-to-cloud payment flows: device initialization, processing, Store & Forward, and webhook reconciliation.
• Serve as SME across the full payment stack from hardware to settlement.
• Build reconciliation platform UI and back-end to surface discrepancies.
• Design matching engines and data pipelines for settlement files and exception classification.
• Create payment analytics dashboards and reports for merchant back-office users.
• Translate business requirements into working solutions; mentor engineers; maintain docs and runbooks.
• Participate in code reviews and drive code quality across payment services.
