Job summary

Justworks is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive large-scale projects in our New York City office. You will own from discovery to launch, delivering quick, iterative releases with real customer impact.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of hands-on experience with Golang, SQL, and cloud infrastructure (AWS). You will mentor colleagues, collaborate with designers and product managers, and help scale our platform for partner integrations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional hands-on experience.
• Mastery of modern server side languages, Golang is a plus but not required.
• Proficiency with SQL.
• Proficiency with cloud infrastructure management, preferably AWS.
• Experience supporting and mentoring other engineers and acting as a 'force multiplier'.
• Experience working closely with designers and product managers.

Responsibilities

• Independently own large-scale projects from technical discovery through launch, with a focus on quick, iterative release and customer impact.
• Promote engineering excellence through technical leadership, knowledge sharing, and mentorship.
• Collaborate with external partners to understand integration needs and deliver thoughtful, scalable solutions.
• Build and improve platform infrastructure that makes partner integrations faster, safer, and easier to scale.
