Job summary

Toku is seeking a product-focused developer who will own entire product surfaces from day one, talk to customers, identify problems, design solutions, and ship them with AI-powered workflows.

You will collaborate with engineers across the stack, review output, explain technical concepts in plain language, and thrive in ambiguity, with a near‑NYC-based hybrid schedule and regular interactions with leadership in Manhattan.

Qualifications

• Shipping full-stack production software with real users.
• Daily use of AI coding tools as primary workflow.
• Strong product instincts from customer perspective.
• Understanding API design, data modeling, cloud infra, and production tradeoffs.
• End-to-end ownership: problems to ship.
• Ability to explain technical concepts in plain language.

Responsibilities

• Own entire product surfaces from day one.
• Talk to customers, identify problems, design solutions, and ship them with AI tools.
• Review team output, provide feedback, and raise quality across the board.
• Collaborate with engineers and non-engineers to accelerate shipping.
• Explain complex concepts clearly in async/remote settings, and meet the CEO in Manhattan when required.
