**Summary:**

Oculus Studios Developer Experience is a central team within Oculus Studios focused on improving developer experience for various Game Studios (Armature Studios, Beat Games, BigBox VR, Camouflaj, Sanzaru Games, Twisted Pixel, Supernatural). The team is responsible for resolving all common problems during game development to help these studios successfully launch a game.We are looking for engineers who can work effectively within Meta’s vast infrastructure and are excited by the chance to help Studios make video games. The ideal candidate will have a practical experience in developing and maintaining build systems as well as Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment systems for Game Studio.

**Required Skills:**

Senior Software Engineer - Oculus Studios Developer Experience Responsibilities:

1. Help define and establish Meta's infrastructure approach for game studios - working across multi-year efforts

2. Support and improve pre-existing gaming infrastructure inside of Meta e.g. TeamCity, Perforce, GitHub etc.

3. Work in multiple coding languages such as but not limited to C++, C#, Python, Hack, JavaScript, React and more

4. Work with multiple game engines such as Unity, Unreal, and proprietary engines

5. Work with multiple game development Integrated Development Environments such as Visual Studios, Ryder etc.

6. Partner with other teams within Meta to figure out best approaches while bringing the Meta focuses on reliability, scalability, security to the game studio space

7. Work with alternate hosting environments (i.e. cloud/corporate/lab) and help determine where and how they should be used

8. Support game studios during break/fix scenarios and be part of the escalation path

9. 8+ years of experience in learning new approaches, coding languages, and Meta specific solutions

10. Broad knowledge of games and game development and/or enterprise scale infrastructure

11. Experienced in Python development

12. Experienced in PHP / Hack development

13. Experienced collaborating with team members across multiple disciplines to bring products to life

14. 8+ years of experience in developing and maintaining development infrastructure for games and/or enterprise (large scale distributed environments)

15. Experience with General Frameworks: GraphQL, Graph API, Ent Framework

16. Shipped AAA titles or large Enterprise solutions

17. Experience working in major game engines (i.e. Unreal, Unity)

18. Experience as a Full-Stack developer in a large scale distributed environment

19. Experience in building user facing tools using languages such as Hack, JavaScript, React, etc.

20. Experience building supportable solutions that include proactive alerting, monitoring, and product metrics

21. Experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, etc.)

22. Experience working with distributed computing platforms

23. Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or Engineering

$177,000/year to $251,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
