Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop enterprise applications using .NET/C#, WPF, and Xamarin Forms. You will lead a development team in an Agile Scrum environment, own technical decisions, and mentor peers while delivering modules across desktop and mobile platforms.

The role focuses on architecture, client engagement, and applying MVVM, XAML, XML, and JSON within CORE platform solutions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience using .NET/C# for Windows, desktop, and mobile applications.
• Strong expertise with Microsoft .NET Framework and C#.
• Experience working through the full software development lifecycle.
• Knowledge of Xamarin or WPF.
• Experience developing POS solutions for counters, kiosks, or handheld devices.
• Experience with CORE platform including Essential, ECP7, or Riposte Application.
• Experience with peripherals such as scanners, CDUs, receipt printers, or label printers.
• Experience supporting workflows including payment, mailing, receipts, and PUDO.
• Post-secondary education in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Must be able to meet security clearance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex issues.
• Write and maintain unit tests.
• Lead client reviews, demonstrations, and project presentations.

Job Description

A Global Software Engineering company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop and extend business applications for enterprise clients while providing technical leadership and mentorship to the development team. Working within an Agile Scrum environment, you will build and enhance applications across desktop and mobile platforms, including WPF, UWP, iOS, and Android.

This role combines hands-on software development with project ownership, client engagement, and solution design. You will contribute to architecture decisions, lead technical discussions, support customer implementations, and help deliver high-quality applications built on the CORE platform. Technologies include .NET, C#, WPF, Xamarin Forms, MVVM, XAML, XML, and JSON.

Required Skills & Experience

• Mentor and support other members of the development team.
• Make changes to the CORE framework when required and serve as a subject matter expert for selected peripherals and workflows.
