Job description

Senior Software Engineer, .Net

NeuroFlow Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States

About this position

Who We Are

NeuroFlow CEO and West Point graduate Christopher Molaro served in the army for five years, including a tour in Iraq as a platoon leader. Coming back home, he experienced firsthand the gaps in the behavioral health system and how veterans and civilians alike face too many barriers when it comes to receiving appropriate, timely care.

While pursuing his MBA at Wharton, Chris met his future co-founder Adam Pardes, and the two agreed – even the most engaging digital mental health apps in the world wouldn’t truly change the problem; only a solution that systematically integrated behavioral health into the full healthcare ecosystem could create meaningful change. And so they created NeuroFlow.

What We Do

We pride ourselves on partnering with healthcare leaders to assist in driving better outcomes, lowering total cost of care, and making behavioral health risk more predictable and transparent. NeuroFlow exists to make sure no one who needs behavioral health support falls through the cracks.

We build more than just engaging digital health tools for self-care: we create platforms that identify population behavioral health risk early, engage individuals with acuity‑specific resources, and enable care teams to make smarter and more efficient decisions. Together, NeuroFlow’s solutions arm healthcare organizations with the insights they need to overcome the systemic challenges in today’s healthcare ecosystem.

How We Do It

The award-winning culture at NeuroFlow is one built around encouragement and daring to be great. Our core values have been displayed in our office since day one, and each team member is responsible for carrying out these values and keeping each other accountable to them. We succeed through our flexibility and agility, navigating and transforming an industry ripe for change where “no” or “can’t” is too often the default. NeuroFlow offers unique opportunities to work in a fun and challenging fast‑paced environment with direct, meaningful impact on helping to close the divide between mental and physical health.

NeuroFlow is backed by investors including HLM Venture Partners, SEMCAP Health, Concord Health Partners, Builders VC, and Dreamit, alongside grant funding from the National Science Foundation and the U.S. Department of Defense.

Our work has been recognized by TIME Magazine as one of the World's Top HealthTech Companies of 2025, by Fierce Healthcare's 2026 Fierce15, and by MedTech Breakthrough's Best Overall Mental Health Solution award.

About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer at NeuroFlow, you build and maintain the full-stack features behind our behavioral health technology. Your team sets the goals and explains why they matter. From there, you work out what to build and how to build it, own the services in your team's domain, and help newer engineers grow along the way.

What You’ll Do

  • Turn team goals into technical plans, then design and build full-stack features and services within your team's domain.
  • Choose the methods, tools, and evaluation criteria for your own work, and walk your team through the tradeoffs.
  • Spot technical risks and blockers early and propose fixes before they slow down delivery.
  • Own the prioritization of your assigned work and bring it to your manager for approval.
  • Contribute to architecture and design discussions for your team's services.
  • Work with product, QA, and adjacent engineering teams to ship features in your team's domain.
  • Mentor junior engineers through code review, pairing, and hands‑on technical guidance.
  • Improve testing, tooling, and engineering practices on the services you own.

What You Should Have

  • Typically 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack web development.
  • Strong object-oriented programming skills in C#, solid TypeScript, and hands‑on experience with .NET Framework or .NET 5+.
  • Proficiency with a modern front‑end framework such as Angular, React, or Vue.
  • Experience building backend APIs and services with .NET Framework or .NET 5+.
  • Working experience with ORMs and relational databases (for example, nHibernate, Entity Framework, SQL Server).
  • Experience writing unit, integration, and UI automation tests.
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, whether running them in production or helping a team migrate to them.

Nice to have

  • Experience with cloud architectures on AWS or Azure.
  • Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7 and FHIR.
  • Experience building integrations with EHRs.

Who You Are

  • An engineer who owns your work from design through production and enjoys helping newer engineers level up.
  • A clear communicator who can explain a technical decision to your team and stay open to other approaches.
  • Someone who gets satisfaction from taking a tangled piece of code and making it simpler to maintain.

Security Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship Required: Applicants must be U.S. citizens and able to obtain and maintain Public Trust security clearance. Selected candidates will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet all eligibility requirements.
  • NeuroFlow will support the clearance process. Obtaining clearance is required to remain in this position.
