Job summary

Salesforce, Inc. is seeking a Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) to join the MuleSoft Platform team in Bellevue, WA. You will design, build, and ship scalable integration capabilities and APIs at massive scale, spanning the full SDLC in a hybrid engineering model.

You will influence architecture, review code, and mentor engineers while delivering secure, reliable SaaS services in a multi-tenant cloud environment. Strong Java background is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience with distributed systems and large-scale SaaS platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-quality, production-grade software using modern engineering practices, with AI as a core part of your development workflow.
• Build scalable, performant backend services and APIs within a microservices-based, multi-tenant SaaS cloud environment.
• Contribute to MuleSoft platform features including integration flows, API lifecycle management, and runtime operations.
• Participate in architecture reviews and collaborate with senior engineers and architects to align designs with platform standards.
• Critically evaluate code (human or AI-generated) for correctness, quality, security, and performance through rigorous code reviews.
• Develop test strategies and write unit, integration, and functional tests to drive code quality and automation coverage.
• Participate in the team's on-call rotation to troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues in real-time.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver impactful features.
• Mentor junior engineers (MTS/AMTS) and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and engineering excellence.
