Job Description: Senior Software Engineer (Mobile/Frontend)

We are seeking a Mobile Application Subject Matter Expert with a strong affinity for frontend development to lead our mobile app efforts on the Time and Mobile Domain team. In this role, you'll work closely with the team lead to accelerate our mobile application, drive innovation, and collaborate with our PM to deliver exceptional user experiences. This position is ideal for a self-motivated, dependable programmer who excels at solving complex problems and thrives in both collaborative and independent environments.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  1. Demonstrate and maintain competency in our technical stack (.NET, Vue.js, EF, AWS, CI/CD, GHA) as defined in our Technical Vision. Be an independent contributor with deep knowledge of programming and frameworks.
  2. Design and implement scalable, high-quality mobile software solutions that are maintainable and extensible.
  3. Apply knowledge of software design patterns, algorithms, and data structures.
  4. Debug and troubleshoot effectively.
  5. Use tooling for performance optimization.
  6. Provide constructive code review feedback.
  7. Understand and educate others on our build pipeline, including deployments, environments, unit, integration, and UI tests.
  8. Serve as the Mobile Application Subject Matter Expert, owning and driving our mobile app’s success.
  9. Enhance front-end development, engage with stakeholders, and elevate UI experiences.
  10. Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams for excellent user experiences.
  11. Exhibit strong communication and soft skills as a mobile development expert.
  12. Contribute to a culture of innovation and success, thriving in both collaborative and independent environments.
  13. Assist in creating technical stories as needed.
  14. Learn new concepts and systems quickly.

This role requires adaptability to change for delivering exceptional customer experiences. Duties may change at any time.

Requirements

What You’ll Need:

  1. 8+ years of professional web development experience.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  3. Experience with front-end frameworks, ideally Vue 3; React, Angular 8+, or Svelte are acceptable alternatives.
  4. Capacitor experience.
  5. 5+ years of expert CSS skills, with Tailwind knowledge preferred.
  6. Experience with SCSS.
  7. 5+ years of expert Javascript/TypeScript skills.
  8. Proven expertise in mobile application development and driving innovation.
  9. Experience designing responsive layouts and interfaces.
  10. Backend experience (e.g., Flask, Laravel, Node).
  11. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.).
  12. Understanding of RESTful APIs and experience building them.
  13. Effective collaboration with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  14. Ability to work well independently and in teams, fostering innovation.
  15. Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills.
  16. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  17. Reliable high-speed internet access.
  18. Dedicated, quiet workspace free from distractions.

Nice to Have:

  1. Experience with non-Vue hybrid or mobile app development.
  2. Figma knowledge.
  3. 3+ years experience with event-driven microservices architecture.
  4. Experience with C#/.NET.
  5. Understanding of OAuth2 flow.
  6. Entity Framework experience.
  7. Ionic 5+ component library experience.

Full-time, direct hire, 100% remote role.

This position is open to candidates residing and eligible to work in the US, excluding Alaska, California, Hawaii, Washington D.C.

Core working hours are typically 9am - 4pm EST, Monday to Friday, with occasional outside hours during busy seasons.

Salary Range: $125K - $155K
