ATOMS is seeking an experienced software engineer in Mountain View to develop and enhance their market-leading Menu Platform. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and 4+ years of software engineering experience.

You will design and implement backend services, build data-driven features, and ensure high-quality code across multiple projects. Competitive compensation includes salary range of $176,000–242,000 along with comprehensive benefits.

What you’ll do

Our Menu Platform (featured on our tech blog) is the central hub for comprehensive menu management. It streamlines operations, enhances the customer experience, and provides a single source of truth for menus across online delivery channels such as DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub, and POS systems such as Square, Toast, Clover, NCR.

Key capabilities include real‑time menu updates, channel‑specific availability, pricing and tax configuration, ingredients and SKU management, bundling and promotions, A/B testing, and automated syncing between POS and delivery channels.

With 99.99% platform availability and 150K+ restaurants, our platform is a critical infrastructure for restaurants worldwide.

What we’re looking for

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience required.

Experience: 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.

Technical Mastery

• Strong background in building scalable and reliable distributed systems
• Experience building large‑scale, high‑traffic applications
• Proficiency in Java and modern backend development practices

Architectural Skills: Ability to design new systems from scratch and evolve existing architectures.

Impact Orientation: Demonstrated track record of meaningful, high‑quality contributions.

Communication: Clear communicator capable of partnering with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

What else you need to know

This role is based in our Mountain View office location. Close collaboration is essential as we continuously reimagine our industry, create new products, and refine our processes. All of our office‑based teams work onsite, five days a week.

Compensation

Base salary range: $176,000–242,000 per year. Actual compensation will be determined on an individual basis and may vary depending on experience, skills, and qualifications. Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package; you may also be eligible for equity awards and an annual performance‑based bonus.
