Job summary

Boston Scientific in Valencia, CA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop and test software for implantable neural stimulation systems and other medical software solutions. You will work on C#/.NET, WPF/UWP, Java, Vue and modern web technologies within a cross-functional R&D team.

Hybrid in-office role (3 days/week) with strong focus on quality, documentation and collaboration across engineering, QA and regulatory teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in software development.
• Proficiency in C#/.NET and Windows app development using WPF, XAML and MVVM.
• Experience developing web apps with Java, Vue, JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Strong object-oriented design, patterns and testing (unit/integration).
• SDLC knowledge and Agile software development experience.
• Database development with SQL and NoSQL.
• Ability to collaborate across functions and lead complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test software for implantable neural stimulation systems and related products.
• Develop C# applications using WPF/UWP, SOA and Entity Framework.
• Create web apps with Java, Vue, Spring Boot, REST, AWS, microservices and serverless.
• Document software and testing activities per approved procedures and standards.
• Drive SDLC activities: requirements, design, planning, code reviews, artifacts.
• Analyze, evaluate and verify requirements and software using standards and best practices.
• Develop architecturally sound engineering solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and workflows.
• Promote collaborative engineering decisions and cross-functional teamwork.
• Build relationships with leaders and peers to resolve challenges.
