Job summary

DTEX Systems Inc. is seeking a senior software engineer with extensive macOS development experience to design, develop, and maintain system software and applications for the macOS platform.

You will contribute across the engineering team, building features and integrations within the DTEX solution while working in a hybrid or remote setup. The role requires deep knowledge of macOS internals, Cocoa and Core Services, and proficiency in Swift, Objective-C, and C++.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related Engineering or Science fields
  • 3+ years of experience in relevant roles
  • Proficient in developing software for the macOS platform
  • Strong understanding of macOS administration
  • In-depth knowledge of macOS platform architecture and internals, such as Darwin, Cocoa SDK, Core Services, and various Apple development libraries and SDKs
  • Proficient in Xcode and programming in Swift, Objective‑C and C++
  • Experience developing using the Apple Endpoint Security framework
  • Good knowledge of general OS internals such as kernel mode and user mode, filesystems, networking concepts, process and application management, security and access control
  • Good knowledge of databases, cryptography and troubleshooting in a macOS environment
  • Knowledge of macOS device management applications and concepts
  • Prefer experience in startup environments.
  • A US citizen based in the US

Base salary range (SF Bay Area): $150k-$200k.
