Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Senior Software Engineer- Infrastructure to join our Battlespace Awareness team. You will provide software engineering support for core tools and help stand up ML infrastructure to improve parameter optimization and detect regressions in CI.

The role requires strong programming skills (Python, C++, or Rust), experience with low-latency software, testing, and GitHub/CI/CD, plus a ML background.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in Python, Rust, C++, or C with a track record of using these languages professionally.
• Solid software engineering fundamentals, including object‑oriented programming, functional programming, and REST API design.
• Experience building low‑latency or real‑time software.
• Experience with software testing, including Robot Framework testing and integration test development.
• Comfortable using AI coding assistants (Claude or Codex) as part of your day‑to‑day workflow.
• Experience with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines.
• Machine learning background particularly in: Hyperparameter optimization, Anomaly detection, Explainable ML (e.g., Bayesian ML).

About the Job

We are looking to hire a Senior Software Engineer- Infrastructure to join our growing Battlespace Awareness team. In this role, you'll provide software engineering and development support for several of the team's core tools, and for candidates with an ML background, help stand up new ML infrastructure that improves how the team optimizes system parameters and detects performance regressions in CI.

Required Qualifications

• Professional experience in one or more of Python, Rust, C++, or C, with a clear track record of using these languages professionally
• Solid software engineering fundamentals, including object‑oriented programming, functional programming, and REST API design
• Experience building low‑latency or real‑time software
• Experience with software testing, including Robot Framework testing and integration test development
• Comfortable using AI coding assistants (Claude or Codex) as part of your day‑to‑day workflow
• Experience with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines
• Machine learning background particularly in:
  • Hyperparameter optimization
  • Anomaly detection
  • Explainable ML (e.g., Bayesian ML)
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• TypeScript or JavaScript, React, and/or NodeJS

• Experience with faster‑than‑real‑time (FTRT) simulation
• Experience building Slackbot integrations.
• Master's, PhD, or 2–3+ years of professional experience in machine learning, especially model deployment

US Salary Range

$190,000 — $252,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
