Skyrocket Ventures is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to advance LLM and agentic AI applications for a profitable enterprise SaaS product. You can work remotely or from SF/NY offices.

The role blends Python, AI, and data analytics to drive the core analytics engine. You will collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and researchers to build scalable AI-powered features, improve tooling, and ensure high code quality.

Formación

Responsabilidades

• Primarily working with Python, LangGraph, and MCP.

Senior Software Engineer - LLM and Agentic AI Applications - Profitable AI Startup

Location: you can either work remotely or in the company's offices in San Francisco or New York

The company's product is enterprise SaaS and involves data science, AI, machine learning, predictive analytics, and big data. It is a mission-driven company.

The company has about 30 employees and 8 engineers. It raised a pre-seed round of funding several years ago and hasn't needed any investment since then. It is very profitable, is utilized by many top tier customers, and revenues are growing rapidly.

The company will pay up to $240k in salary, plus equity which could be lucrative.

Job Responsibilities:

• Primarily working with Python, LangGraph, and MCP.
• Blending Python software development expertise with LLM and agentic application development to advance the state of the art analytics engine that powers the core product.
• Building applications for customers to use which will help them to extract knowledge and learnings from the company's product.
• Building, maintaining, and continuously improving tools, techniques, and architecture for agentic applications.
• Working with a talented and diverse team of engineers, data scientists, and research staff to build new features and solve novel problems across the spectrum of software engineering, data visualization, and science.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of professional experience (the more the better).
• Expertise in Python.
• At least 2 years of LLM and agentic AI experience.
• Experience building an agentic AI product that is in use by customers (not just a personal project).
• Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
• Expertise in architecting, maintaining, and optimizing generative AI applications.
• Up to date on the latest technologies for AI Ops.
• Knowledgeable about software architecture able to design scalable, performant solutions.
• Emphasis on code quality and writing maintainable, testable code.

Nice to have:

• Thorough knowledge of the Linux operating system.
• Experience with Celery, and MongoDB.
• Belief in the scientific method and making data-driven decisions.
• Experience mentoring other engineers.
