Job summary

HBK - Hottinger Brüel & Kjær in Florida seeks a Senior Software Engineer for Custom Engineering to drive Linux kernel, device driver, and I/O software development. You will design interfaces for analog/digital I/O, troubleshoot complex system-level issues, and support manufacturing with validation of custom products.

Required are strong C/C++ programming skills, Linux kernel and driver experience, and a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of engineering work.

Qualifications

Experience with Linux kernel development and device drivers.
Knowledge of analog/digital I/O and hardware interfaces.
Ability to troubleshoot system-level hardware/software integration.
5+ years of engineering experience and independent work capability.

Responsibilities

Develop, test, integrate, and support custom Linux kernel, device driver, and I/O software solutions.
Design and support hardware/software interfaces for custom I/O devices.
Troubleshoot complex system-level hardware and software integration issues.
Support manufacturing with installation, configuration, testing, and validation.
Translate customer requirements into engineering solutions and mentor junior staff.
