Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong Python development skills and experience designing, implementing, testing, debugging, and maintaining production software.
• Experience developing or maintaining Windows applications, installers, deployment utilities, diagnostic tools, or support software.
• Experience with Angular/TypeScript, REST APIs, and MongoDB.
• Experience with device-communication software and hardware integration.
• Experience collaborating with Operations or Manufacturing for production release and resolving software issues affecting shipment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain reliable production software across applications and codebases.
• Develop and maintain the software licensing application, including its Angular UI, Python services, MongoDB data layer, REST APIs, authentication, and activation workflows.
• Develop and maintain Windows installers, launchers, diagnostic utilities, configuration tools, and customer- and service-facing support applications using Python, PowerShell, and C# where appropriate.
• Develop and support application software that communicates with scientific instruments and connected devices; troubleshoot integration issues with firmware and device drivers.
• Own software from design through testing, release, troubleshooting, and long-term support; participate in code reviews, technical design, and risk-based decisions.
