Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support the software lifecycle from requirements analysis to integration and delivery. Proficiency in C/C++, RTOS, and embedded software is required; travel up to 5%.

Candidate will develop, test, and debug software, ensure standards, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams. US citizenship and ability to obtain a government security clearance are required.

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full time Software Engineer Sr. In this role, you will support the software engineering lifecycle following the program Software Development Plan (SDP) to include requirements analysis, object oriented analysis & design, code & unit test, integration, and support to formal test/delivery.

The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of languages such as C or C++. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require government security clearance prior to starting. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Travel up to 5% to Huntsville, AL for Planning activities.

Software Engineer Sr plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met. Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.

Basic Qualifications

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $110300.00 - $204900.00
