Job summary

HD Supply Holdings designs, develops, troubleshoots, and debugs complex software applications for enhancements and new products. Develops software and tools in support of design, infrastructure, and technology platforms.

The role involves working with stakeholders to analyze requirements, document technical designs, implement enhancements, and ensure quality through testing and security reviews. Senior engineers may lead smaller projects and guide junior teammates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in application engineering.
• Experience with project and product delivery methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Perform gap analyses for application enhancements with stakeholders.
• Create and review complex technical design specifications.
• Build software enhancements via configuration and development.
• Conduct unit testing prior to QA.
• Develop and review test plans for functional, performance, regression, and UAT testing.
• Analyze applications for security protocol compliance and recommend changes.
• Participate in and lead incident management activities and post-incident reviews.
• Lead smaller project workstreams and mentor junior engineers.
