Senior Software Engineer JAVA || REMOTE 10% Travel - Pheonix AZ - Must be local

1. Design, develop, and deploy software solutions to support Cable One’s Voice, Data, and Video services.
2. Collaborate with residential and business divisions using Agile Scrum methodologies to develop requested software solutions.
3. Create and maintain core provisioning systems for customer access to Cable One products and services.
4. Develop customer diagnostic tools to assist call center and field technicians with troubleshooting.
5. Manage and resolve issues with in-house applications, databases, APIs, infrastructure, and networks.
6. Interpret business requirements to establish technical designs and documentation for applications.
7. Participate in code review and design sessions to outline deliverables and tasks.
8. Prepare design and transition documents for QA and support teams.
9. Provide documentation and training to the software support team for production deployments.
10. Identify and implement process and application improvements to automate manual tasks.
11. Mentor and provide guidance to software support staff and junior engineers.
12. Requires a bachelor’s degree and at least three years’ experience in application development (preferably using Java), including experience with enterprise web services, Agile/Waterfall SDLCs, database technologies (SQL Server/Oracle), and Linux/Windows OS.
13. Prefer advanced certification in Java SE, J2EE, C#, and application server technologies (IIS, JBOSS, Tomcat, Springboot).
14. Prefer working knowledge of Jenkins, Git, TFS, Maven, RedHat OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Docker.
15. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and computer skills required.
16. Must be a self-starter, flexible, and a team player.
