Alarm.com is seeking a Software Engineer II to join a team delivering backend services, websites, and database design for our connected ecosystem. You will collaborate across hardware and software teams, own features, and contribute to a range of IoT and SaaS projects.

The role emphasizes leadership, self-learning, and hands-on development with .NET, SQL Server, Kafka, Ember.js, Node.js, and native mobile apps. Office presence is expected, four days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
• 3–5 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience leading and mentoring other engineers.
• Strong object-oriented programming skills; C# a plus.
• Experience with database design and development.

Responsibilities

• Develop full stack software for a wide variety of platforms and technologies.
• Take part in the entire project life cycle, from requirements to deployment with cross-team collaboration.
• Engage in research and evaluation of new technologies to meet project goals.
• Exercise good judgment: balance speed with robust solutions.
• Contribute ideas and collaborate on product development; perform other duties as assigned.
