Job summary

Walmart is seeking an experienced Senior Mobile Software Engineer to design, build, and deliver customer-facing iOS experiences within Walmart's in-store shopping journey.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop high-quality, scalable mobile applications, drive technical excellence, and mentor teammates while shaping the future of our mobile platform.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area.
  • 3–5 years of experience in software engineering or related area.
  • Experience building native iOS applications in Swift and a strong understanding of mobile architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Own delivery of scoped features and models through collaborative engineering teams.
  • Write clean, efficient code across multiple languages and manage CI/CD and testing.
  • Integrate AI/ML components and GenAI tools to enhance software and productivity.
  • Translate high-level designs into scalable, secure technical solutions.
  • Define technical requirements with stakeholders and measure success.
  • Monitor app performance and maintain reliability with testing and observability.
  • Mentor peers and promote engineering best practices.

What you'll do:

  • Assist in translating high-level designs into detailed technical solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements and success metrics aligned with business goals.
  • Monitor application performance and maintain system reliability through proactive testing and observability.
  • Mentor peers and contribute to continuous improvement and engineering best practices.

  • 4+yearsofexperiencebuildinghigh-qualitynativemobileapplicationsforiOS(Swift)

  • ExperienceconsumingRESTfulAPIsandintegratingwithbackendservices.
  • Familiaritywithmoderndevelopmentpracticesincludingautomatedtesting,CI/CD,codereviews,andGit.

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00 - $234,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
