Frontera is seeking a Senior+ Software Engineer to lead the Integrations Platform, driving end-to-end ownership of data integration, mapping, and architecture within our ML/Data organization. You will work across Product, Clinical Operations, and external partners to solve complex problems and shape the data layer underpinning our platform and AI systems.
You will spend ~70% coding and architecture work, with remaining time aligning stakeholders and contributing to hiring as the integration
Healthcare data is fragmented by default. Every provider, payer, EHR, referral source, and clinical system speaks a slightly different language. For Frontera to scale, both as a care delivery organization and as a technology platform, that fragmentation has to disappear behind a reliable, extensible integration and data layer. As a Senior+ Software Engineer on our Integrations Platform, you'll be the technical lead for that layer, owning it end-to-end. This role sits within our ML & Data organization because we don't view integrations as implementation plumbing. The systems we connect determine what data Frontera can access, how cleanly we can understand it, and ultimately what our product and AI systems can do with it. Every integration expands the number of organizations Frontera can work with, and adds breadth, fidelity, and context to the clinical data underlying the platform. That is the same longitudinal dataset that comes from operating real care alongside our own platform, not abstract transaction data. This is a hands-on role. You'll spend roughly 70% of your time building, deep in the code and shaping architecture decisions, and the remainder working across Product, Clinical Operations, ML/Data, and external partners to make sure we're solving the right problems. You'll be the engineering owner for integrations from day one. Managing people is not a requirement at the start, but as integration volume and complexity grow, there's a clear path to growing the team and stepping into formal lead responsibilities.
Better integrations mean faster onboarding of new organizations, less operational friction for clinicians and teams, and a more complete view of the care journey. They also improve the quality and usefulness of the data Frontera can learn from, because we operate care directly and that data reflects real clinical workflows and outcomes. As that dataset grows, it becomes increasingly important to how we evaluate care models, build AI systems, improve workflows, and differentiate the platform. This role is one of the foundational technical layers behind that scale strategy.
