Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior software engineer to build and demonstrate software for quantum computing applications and HPC-QC system management. You will develop adapters, evaluate tools, and contribute to open standards to enable interoperability across environments.

The role involves testing, code reviews, documentation, and demonstrations of capabilities, with a focus on high-performance workloads and scalable architectures.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 6 or more years of programming experience.
• Advanced programming skills in C, C++, or Rust, and advanced programming skills in Python.
• Experience contributing to large software projects and creating new software efforts, including library API design.
• Experience creating or extending quantum computing tools (e.g., Qiskit, CUDA-Q, TensorFlow Quantum, Pennylane).
• Strong understanding of quantum computing, including skills in understanding and optimizing circuits.
• Deep understanding of HPC architecture, GPU/CPU function and applicability, cluster design, job scheduling, workload optimization, and performance tuning and testing.
• Strong mathematical background with excellent skills in areas such as statistics, probability, and linear algebra.

Responsibilities
