Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the NSV tools group, building high-performing software automation systems for Data Center environments. You will interact with NIC, OS, switches, HCA, CPU and GPU compute, contributing to scalable automation in a dynamic setting.

You will lead development efforts, participate in code reviews, and collaborate with architects, DevOps, product managers and teammates to ensure reliable, high-quality releases.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven software development experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience on Linux-based platforms.
• Proficient in Bash, Python, Ansible.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Independent, fast learner with strong ownership, debugging and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain durable network automation frameworks for provisioning, configuration, and observation of HPC data centers.

As a senior team member, you will be part of a development effort of high-performing software automation systems for NVIDIA’s Data Center environments. You will interact with NIC, OS, Switch, HCA, CPU and GPU compute as well as architects, network engineers, and developers. We drive the data growth of the world’s biggest companies. What you’ll be doing:

• Developing and constructing durable network automation frameworks for the provisioning, configuration, and observation of HPC data centers, increasing the efficiency and consistency of our infrastructure.
• Collaborating with internal and external collaborators teams to integrate and implement innovative technologies.
• Troubleshooting issues in distributed environments and contributing to system observability and reliability improvements.
• Working cross-functionally with architects, DevOps engineers, product managers and collaborators to ensure high-quality releases.
• Participating in code reviews, technical build discussions, and continuous improvement activities within the team.

What we need to see:

• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience in practice.
• Proven experience in software development.
• 5+ years of strong hands-on experience on Linux-based platforms.
• Proficient scripting and automation skills (Bash, Python, Ansible).
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Independent, fast learner with a strong sense of ownership, excellent debugging and problem-solving skills, and effective communication abilities.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

• Background in DevOps methodologies and Network Engineering practices.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies.
• Experience with agentic AI development.
• Hands-on experience with large-scale network architectures, switches/routers, OVS, SR-IOV, and network operating/management systems.
• Networking expertise: Ethernet, VLANs, TCP/UDP/IP, QoS, L2/L3 protocols, BGP, EVPN/VXLAN, and common network topologies.
