Kansas City National Security Campus (KCNSC), part of Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies, seeks a seasoned software engineer to drive intermediate to complex development tasks for national security systems. You will interact with customers, define development guidelines, and mentor junior engineers while working within DOE security constraints.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or other ABET accredited Engineering program.
• 4+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management.

Responsibilities

• Performs requirements gathering, architecture design, implementation, coding, debugging, testing, and support throughout the application development process.
• Works independently and collaboratively on moderately complex projects with minimal supervision.
• Applies standard software engineering discipline, processes, and tools to complete projects.
• Analyzes existing systems to identify weaknesses and opportunities for improvements.
• Generates software documentation and performs verification/testing to ensure requirements are met.
• Develops specifications, migrations, and supports maintenance of applications.
