Job summary

Oceaneering Technologies (OTECH) is seeking a Software Engineer III to lead or majorly contribute to software efforts for underwater systems serving US DoD customers.

The role emphasizes applying the software lifecycle, architecture design, and inter-team collaboration with program managers and external customers. Mentorship of junior engineers and occasional extended hours are expected as projects demand.

Qualifications

• BS degree in CS/CE/Math/EE or related field; commensurate experience considered.
• 5+ years of practical software engineering experience.
• Experience with C# programming language.
• Strong written and oral communication skills for documentation and presentations.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD security clearance; US citizen.

Responsibilities

• Lead or contribute significantly to software efforts and proposals.
• Design and maintain software architecture; implement decisions.
• Interface with engineering leads, program managers and customers.
• Contribute to project CDRLs, requirements management, and testing.
• Present results to management and clients; mentor junior team members.
• Support software testing on factory floor, offsite, and offshore.
• Prepare concept of operations, interfaces docs, hazard analysis, and test plans.
