Job summary

Prescient Edge seeks a Software Engineer III to support a federal government client. The role requires a Master’s degree in a quantitative field and 10 years of software engineering experience, with Agile/DevOps experience and a CSC/DSD certification preferred.

A Secret clearance is required for access to government systems. The candidate will work on designing, developing, and maintaining software, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet performance requirements.

Qualifications

10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Experience applying programming concepts in professional or academic settings.
Experience applying modern software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps/DevSecOps).
Agile Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer certification.

Responsibilities

Research, design, and develop software solutions for the client.
Analyze user needs and translate them into software requirements.
Update or enhance existing software capabilities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware and software systems and define performance requirements.
Maintain databases within an application area.
