Job description

We're a collaborative, curious team of software engineers across all levels. You'll contribute across the full engineering lifecycle—from discovery and design to implementation, testing, deployment, and optimization—and own end-to-end solutions that address real user needs. You'll work with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate ideas into robust, scalable software. Our culture emphasizes learning, thoughtful ownership, and clear communication—through code reviews, pairing, mentoring, and knowledge sharing. You'll collaborate on architecture, tooling, and processes, with room to experiment and iterate. We offer clear growth paths across cloud, frontend, backend, or data platforms, with opportunities for mentorship and skill development.

About the Role

This position performs moderately difficult research, design, and software development assignments within our Web Access Management (WAM) / Identity & Access Management platform — the identity, entitlement, authentication, and access-token services that secure our products. The position should have the ability to work on individual pieces of work and solve problems including the design of the program flow of individual pieces of code, effective coding, and unit testing, while contributing to our ongoing replatform from legacy Spring/Jetty services to cloud-native Micronaut microservices on AWS.

Responsibilities

Interface with product managers, architects, and other technical team members to finalize requirements for identity, entitlement, authentication, and access-token services. Write and review portions of detailed specifications and design documents for the development of system components of moderate complexity. Work closely with other development team members to understand moderately complex product requirements and translate them into scalable software designs. Design, implement, and unit-test backend services (Java / Spring / Micronaut) and, where needed, frontend components (Angular / TypeScript). Contribute to the replatforming of legacy services to Micronaut microservices, applying clean/hexagonal architecture and SOLID principles. Build and maintain secure RESTful APIs and integrations across OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, and MFA flows. Successfully apply development processes, secure-coding best practices, and code reviews (SonarQube quality gates, Jacoco coverage). Author unit, integration, and end-to-end tests (JUnit, Mockito, Cypress) and support CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Gradle). Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders. Resolve technical issues, troubleshoot production incidents, and complete bug fixes. Keep abreast of new technology developments in identity & access management, cloud, and application security. All other duties as assigned.
